In addition, all electrical equipment must be properly insulated <br />to prevent sparks. <br />22. The Licensee will be held responsible for damage and suppression costs for fires <br />started as a result of operations. Fires must be reported to the Montrose Interagency <br />Fire Dispatch center immediately. <br />23. The Forest Service reserves the right to suspend operations during periods of high fire <br />potential. <br />24. Unauthorized off-road vehicle travel is prohibited. <br />25. Hazassment of livestock and wildlife is prohibited. If stock is in the project azea, <br />extra precautions must be taken by the operator and their contractors to ensure that <br />stock are not pushed out of the currently occupied grazing unit. <br />26. Drilling equipment (except for personnel conveyance) will not be mobilized on or off <br />the CEL area during the two days prior, on opening day, or on weekends during the <br />first two rifle hunting seasons. <br />27. The Licensee must clean up and remove all drilling equipment, surplus materials <br />(cement, etc.), trash, garbage, flagging, vehicles and other such materials from <br />National Forest System lands. <br />28. Disposal of sewage and trash will be at an authorized disposal site offthe Forest. <br />Portable toilets must be provided for personnel working on the drill sites. If more <br />than one drill site is utilized during drilling activities, portable toilets will be provided <br />at each site. <br />29. The Licensee shall provide for suppression and control of fugitive dust on roads used <br />by the Licensee or its contractors. <br />30. New temporary roads will be closed to public motorized access. These roads will be <br />gated and locked as directed by the Forest Service. <br />31. Surface disturbance will be minimized to the extent reasonably feasible in order to <br />limit potential impacts. Soil that is removed from all new disturbance areas will be <br />windrowed or stockpiled for use in reclamation. Topsoil will be segregated from <br />subsoil and stored at a depth no greater than that prescribed by the Paonia District <br />Ranger. No soil generated from excavation, slide removal or other operations shall be <br />deposited within 1001ineal feet of any drainage with flowing water. <br />32. The Licensee will be required to hold a Forest Service timber contract if <br />merchantable timber will be removed during construction operations.
