1
RECLAMATION PLAN EXHIBIT D

' 3.11 (9) (i) - Final grading will be such that the topography
' is appropriate to the reclaimed use of the property, i.e, pasture
for cattle. Regraded slopes will probably be less severe than
existing slopes, the law requires them to be no greater than 2h:ly
' so that is what we have indicated on the maps. See Map Exhibit E
in this application.
' 3.11 (9) (ii) - Seeding will occur between October 15th and
May 15th. Seeds will be drilled to insure maximum germination and
' most rapid cover establishment. Only inaccessible areas (if any)
will the seed be broadcast. If the seed is broadcast, the seed
' rates will be increased by 758. The seed mixture to be used is:
Species Lbs PLS/acre 8 in Mix
Blue grama 0.50 30
' Western Wheatgrass 3.25 40
Side-oats Grama 0.50 10
Green Neddlegrass 1.00 20
Total 5.25
' Some of these species will probably invade from the surrounding
area as well as grow from vegetation sources in the salvaged topsoils.
No irrigation will be done. Mulch will be used in accordance
' with SCS recommendations. Those being; 4,000 lbs/acre of seed-free
straw will be applied by crimping it into the soil or 20 tons/acre
of manure. We will choose the type of mulch to use depending on
the availability at the time reclamation starts.
' 3.11.(9) (iii) - At the time of reclamation a composite soil
sample will be taken to the Colorado State University Soil Testing
' Laboratory in Fort Collins for analysis of the nutrients. Fertilizer
will be added in accordance with the test results.
3.11 (9) (iv) - No trees or shrubs will be planted in this
' pasture area.
3.11 (9) (v) - It is hoped that a sufficient amount of topsoil
' can be salvaged to resoil to a depth of four inches overall. Remember
that this will be done IF the material is available. The SCS says
' 13
