1 <br />RECLAMATION PLAN EXHIBIT D <br />1 <br />' that there is very little soil on the site. We will use the available <br /> topsoil salvaged from the stripping process and will not haul <br />' additional soils on to the site for revegetation. Prior to spreading <br /> the topsoil, approximately 14 inches of native material ie. sand/ <br /> gravel/clay, will be placed on the underlying shale. This will <br /> provide a root zone that should help improve the chances of est- <br />ablishing grass on the site. Once this is complete the available <br />topsoil will be spread on this native matecial. We used this <br />' technique on the Mertens Pit II and at the time the SCS seemed to <br />think this was adequate.
