EXHIBIT "D" <br /> RECLAMATION PLAN <br /> (a) When and what depth of overburden will be replaced in relation to extraction. <br /> Overburden will be used partially as product. Any unused will be placed on the backslope on the <br /> west pit perimeter at an estimated depth of V-Y. <br /> (b) Maximum gradient of reclaimed slopes (horizontal:vertical). <br /> The maximum gradient on any reclaimed backslopes will be 3H:1V or flatter to accommodate the <br /> rangeland use proposed by the applicant/owner. <br /> (c) Measures that will be taken to revegetate the site. <br /> (i) Thickness of the topsoil to be replaced. <br /> It is anticipated that 6" to 8" of topsoil will be replaced on the pit floor and backslopes. <br /> (ii) Time of seeding, seedbed preparation, type, application rate and soil incorporation, <br /> method of fertilizer application. <br /> Fall seeding is proposed and historically has provided the best results. The seedbed will be disked <br /> and it will be across the slope on the backsloped area. Seed will be drilled rather than broadcast. <br /> 40#/A available N and P has been recommended and will be applied with a commercial spreader at <br /> planting time at the rate of 4,000#/A. <br /> (iii) State the species to be planted and applicable quantities. <br /> The Huerfano County Soil Conservation District, with offices in Walsenburg, recommends the <br /> following mix: <br /> Species Varietv #/A PLS <br /> Thickspike Wheaterass Critana 1.90 <br /> Sideoats Grama Vaughn 1.60 <br /> Little Bluestein Pasture 1.10 <br /> Total 4.60 A PLS <br />
