• existing pipeline to the plant site in Section 27, T1S, R98W, a distance of
approximately three miles. The pipe will be placed using a chain trencher
to cut a 6-inch wide 1trench, will be buried a minimum of 12 inches, and will
~e bedded and backfilled with sand. Figure D-6 shows a typical section of
the pipeline. Revegetation of the disturbed area will be initiated during
the first fall season after construction. A right-of-way application will
be filed (October 198:1) with the BLM for this pipeline.
A 2-inch diameter water supply pipeline will be installed cross-country
approximately 6,000 feet from a well, located in the SE 1/4 of Section 32,
T1S, R98W, to the plant site (Exhibit B). The pipe will be 2-inch diameter
flexible polyethylene buried at a nominal depth of 24 inches. The pipe will
be placed using a ch,3in trencher which will cut a 6-inch wide trench, and
the trench will be b~3ckfilled with the excavated material. The pipeline
will follow existing contours and will not require any significant cuts or
fills.
• An area approximately 6,000-feet long by 12-feet wide will be cleared, where
required, to accomodate the pipeline. All trees with a trunk diameter of 4
inches or greater will be cut into 4-feet lengths and stacked near the
cleared lane. The di<_turbed area will be revegetated, following the methods
stipulated by the BLM, during the first fall season after construction.
Figure D-6 presents a typical section of the water pipeline.
An additional 6-inch wide by 24-inch deep trench will contain an electrical
power cable to supply power to the well pump. This trench will parallel the
water pipeline, extending from the well to the plant site. The electrical
cable will be bedded in 8 inches of sand and backfilled with excavated
material for the balance of its depth. Figure D-6 presents a typical
cross-section of the powerline.
An alternate water supply well is located in NE 1/4, NW 1/4, Section 28,
T1S, R98W. The proposed route for the water and power supply lines is also
shown on Exhibit B. It is uncertain, at this time, which well will be used.
• MLRD will be apprised of the final water source, before commencement of
operations.
D-11
