ENVIRONMENTAL STIPULATIONS <br />ATTACHED TO <br />COLORADO {iESTMORELAND INC. <br />RIGHT-OF-ENTRY DOCUMENTS <br />Environmental stipulations attached to CWI right-of-entry documents provide: <br />46KV Transmission Line Crossing, No. C-23960-RW: <br />a) Poles and insulators shall be a color that blends into [he surrounding envi- <br />ronment. <br />b) The contractor or subcontractor shall not remove, injure, deface or alter <br />any object of scenic, historic or scientific Interest, including Indian <br />ruins, pictographs, and other archeological remains. If any archeological <br />values are unearthed during any operations, such operations will be stopped <br />immediately and the District Manager, Montrose District, Bureau of Land Man- <br />agement will be notified. The contractor will allow no further operations <br />a[ the site involved until permission is granted by the Montrose District <br />• Manager. <br />c) No road construction will be allowed. <br />d) Clearing shall be limited to those trees necessary to provide the required <br />clearance for the line. This determination will be made with the Authori2ed <br />Officer. The clearing operations will be limited to the use of hand tools, <br />power saws, etc. The resulting slash will be disposed of by lopping and <br />scattering on the right-of-way. <br />e) All litter will be picked up as it is generated and not allowed to accumu- <br />late. Litter will be disposed of at a sanitary landfill. No dumping will <br />be allowed on National Resource Lands. Dumping of oil, grease or other <br />waste materials on A'ational Resource Lands will not be allowed. <br />l J <br />
