3.1.5 Reclamation Measure -Material Handling
• 1. Grading shall be carried on so aS to create final topography appropriate
to the final land use selected, which shalt be rangeland and wildlife
habitat.
2. No backfilling is proposed for this site. There are no known toxic or
acidic materials on this property. The backsloping on the pit perimeters
will be an Integral part of the mining operation. Mining will proceed into
the vertical pit face until It reaches the toe of the backslope. The balance
of the mining on the slope will be done at a 3H:1V as described earlier.
3. All grading shall be done to prevent erosion and siltation of the affected
lands. There will be no slide areas in this operation and the only
highwall will be on the pit face which will be eliminated during
reclamation.
4. Grading will be performed reasonably consistent with mining, stockpiling
and equipment moving. Reclamation will follow mining as closely as
possible.
5. There are no known toxic or acidic malarial on this site.
• 6. There will be n0 drill, auger holes, adits, or shafts involved in this
operaton.
7. Backstopes will be finished at a maximum 3H:1V. There will be no
swimming or ponding at this site.
8. The operator's choice for reclamation is not agricultural or horticultural
crops, therefore, the proposed plan is adequate for rangeland and
wildlife habitat.
9. There will be no structural backfill generated, therefore, there will be
none available for use in reclamation. There wilt be no excavated pit
areas that require backfilling.
10. The material to be mined is sand and gravel aggregate. This material
is chemically inert, therefore, releasing no pollutants into the drainage
system. Berms will be constructed to prevent any release of drainage
water from this site.
11. There will be no pollutants or pollutant bearing material mined or
disposed of at this site.
