• Colorado Gravel Products Inc.
45247 Hwy. 112
Center, CO 81125
EXHIBIT D-MINING PLAN
This mine will be a long term operation supplying this operator and the
surrounding area with construction aggregates, primarily for concrete, sand, gravel
and asphalt materials. This will be continuous operation, operating 12 months a year.
a. Our mining methods will be consistent throughout the Irfe of this mine. All
mining will be accomplished with loaders, dozers, scrapers and haul
trucks. This equipment will be used to remove material from the pit area
for crushing and screening. All material will then be stockpiled on site.
Processed material will then be transported off site by trucks.
Mining involves removing alluvial sand and gravel from a ~+eposit that
runs approximately 75 feet to 80 feet in depth. We plan to extract 25 feet
• of material as to stay above the current water table. We will not expose
water, however if in the future we decide to extract below the current
water table we will have all water depletions and evaporation loss
permits in place prior to doing so.
b. The earthmoving equipment that will be used In this project will consist of
loaders and dozers, with haul trucks being used occasionally to haul
material directly from the pit to job sftes.
c. There will be no water diversions, however this property does have Rio
Grande Canal Users water that we plan to use for our rangeland and
wildlife habitat areas that we have created. All topsoil will be stockpiled
in a way to create a berm preventing any water from entering the pit and
process area, thus allowing us to continue with our wildlife habitat on
the non-mined portions of this property.
d. We plan to use approximately i0 acres for crusher processing area, the
pit area will consist of 10 acres or less with a total disturbed area of 20
acres atone time.
