Section 780.211b1 Continued.
1. Site 300 - This site was originally established to monitor run-off from
adjacent disturbance areas south of the mine permit area.
2. Site 306 -This site is located down-gradient of the mine site on Bush Draw.
Runoff from the previously disturbed and reclaimed Pit 1 area is monitored at
Pond F (Site 3211 which is upgradient of Site 306.
3. Site 314 -This site was originally established to monitor baseline conditions
for areas upgradient of the mine site on Bush Draw.
4. Site 316 - This site is located upstream of the loadout area and was
established to provide baseline data.
5. Site 317 - This site is located up-stream of the loadout area and was
established to provide baseline data.
6. Site 318 -This site is located up-stream of the loadout area and was
established to provide baseline data.
7. Site 322 -This site was established to monitor discharge from Pond G which
is scheduled to be removed and reclaimed by fall of the year 2000.
8. Site 327 -This site is located in Bolton Draw downgradient from the existing
NPDES discharge point for Pond A.
All of the above sample sites, except Site 327, have been monitoring off-site
conditions beyond the limits of mine disturbance. Water quality information has been
collected since the 1979/80-baseline period, and Kerr submits that further data
collection from un-disturbed, non-impacted, or peripheral areas is unwarranted. Site
327 is a redundant sample point, since surface discharge is monitored and sampled
upstream at Site 301 (Pond AI, 302 (Pond BI, and 303 (Pond CI. Additional details
and water quality results can be found in the Annual Hydrology Reports submitted
every January to the DMG.
TR-19 780.109a Revised 11/98
