6. AP-4 -This well, located at the southeast corner of the loadout, has been
monitored for water levels only.
With the exception of Well 79-61, which could provide valuable information if mining
ever occurs in the Kerr North area, the noted wells will be plugged, sealed, and
abandoned when no longer required for monitoring.
3. Elimination of unnecessary water quality analysis parameters including those not
required by the DMG or parameters which have consistently shown very low levels or
not-detect values. Kerr proposes to collect and analyze ground water samples for the
following parameters:
Field Parameters
• Water Level
• Temperature
• pH
• Electrical Conductivity (E.C.)
Laboratory Analysis Parameters
• Total Dissolved Solids iTDS)
• Iron (dissolved)
• Manganese (dissolved)
• Sulfate (dissolved)
• Carbonate (dissolved)
• Bicarbonate (dissolved)
• Potassium (dissolved)
• Calcium (dissolved)
• Magnesium (dissolved)
• Sodium !dissolved)
• Chloride (dissolved)
• Nitrate-Nitrogen (dissolved)
The reduced parameters list reflects elimination of SAR, fluoride, phosphorus, and all
metals, except those listed above, )aluminum, barium, boron, cadmium, chromium,
copper, lead, mercury, molybdenum, nickel, vanadium) as required laboratory analysis
parameters. Please refer to revised Table 61, Kerr Mine Area Hydrologic Monitoring
Schedule, for a summary of monitoring requirements.
TR-19 780-108c Revised August 1999
