No topsoil (or overburden) was found at
the Divide Road and Wright Draw Pits, and mining operations
at the /\.2 Road Pit began before topsoil requirements were
imposed.. Therefore, for the A.2 Road, Divide Road and
Wright Draw Pits, the County will import a plant growth medium
materia'il to cover, to a depth of 4 to 6 inches, the areas
to be reclaimed as required by the Mined Land Reclamation
Board.
I.A.6. The
topography of the areas where these pits are located varies
from less than 1% to more than 40$.: and is shown in general
on Exhibit C, Mining Plan Map.
I.D.2. The County will undertake a soil sampling and testing program
prior to seeding to determine the appropriate types and rates
of mulches or fertilizers prior to seeding.
I.E.1. During the course of permitting County Gravel Pits, we
discovered that none of the existing County pits had [he proper
zoning.
