Design Engineer: <br />At the increments prescribed below, the system contractor or owner shall notify the <br />design engineer that inspection and approval is necessary. <br />Open Hole - if the hole is to be excavated beyond the intended gravel layer, the <br />design engineer must inspect and give sipped approval of all intended dirt for backfill <br />prior to inspection by Gilpin County. <br /> <br />Final Inspection - In certain cases where ahemative design systems were permitted, <br />or at the discretion of the, final approval for the system may be withheld until such <br />time as the design engineer furnishes written notice to the local health departnent that <br />an inspection by the engineer or engineering firm has been made and that the system <br />has peen installed in accordance with the approved design. <br />C. Failure to Pass Final Inspection: <br />If the final inspection discloses any significant departure from the description or <br />design of the system as stated in the application and permit, or if any aspect of the <br />system faits to comply with these regulations, approval shall be withheld. The health <br />officer or his/her designated representative shall leave, at the site, written notice of <br />denial including deficiencies causing the disapproval. An additional inspection shall <br />be made by the local health department upon notification that the deficiencies have <br />been corrected and that the system has been brought into compliance with these <br />regulations. <br />3.06 Systems Requiring Registerer/ Professiona/Engineer Design <br />A Systems requiring Registered Professional Engineer Design shall contain as a <br />min;rtn,m the following items: <br />i. Complete site plan including an alternate site for an additional leach field in <br />case of failure; <br />2. Cross section of proposed system; <br />3. Soil profile information; <br />4. General specifications and special instructions (if applicable); <br />5. Design criteria; <br />6. Design requirements; <br />7. Original signature and stamp (rubber stamp is acceptable); <br />]7 <br />
