•
Exhibits E and F:
1. Planting of a grass cover should proceed
apace with topsoil replacement. Since
topsoil replacement is to be done as soon
as mining is finished each year, planting
should also be done to assure long term
slope stabilization.
It has always been our intention to plant stabilize
topsoiled areas on an annual basis as they are
prepared.
2. Our staff has suggested a similar, but
slightly more diverse seed mixture for an
adjacent gravel operation (also owned by
Mr. Chambers). We would recommend this same
seed mixture for your site (as follows).
CPR( TRS
Western Wheatgrass
Tall Wheatgrass
Russian Wildrye
Alkali Saratan
Yellow Sweetclover
*P.L.S. = Pure Live Seed
LBS. If
seed is to be broadcast (and raked ), These
rates should be doubled.
The seed mixture indicated in our application was
suggested by the Soil Conservation Service. We will,
of course, amend this mixture to your suggestions.
3. Roads not remaining after mining should be
retopsoiled and planted with the seed mixture
suggested above. Fertilizing and mulching
should be done as with other seeded areas.
Any roads constructed in the affected land will be
reclaimed.
Y~ CONSTH UC TION, INC.
N~
