..
Exhibit D:
1. Stages 2 and 3 of the mining plan should be
more carefully described as to direction of
mining (as is done for stage 1).
Stage 2, calculated to begin in 1997, will progress
from the now existing mine to the West and require
approximately six years to deplete.
Stage 3 will then proceed from the same hinge point
to the North,
2. Topsoil from roads should be stripped, stock-
piled and planted with a perennial grass
cover such as western wheatgrass (broadcast
at 6.0 lbs. pure live seed/acre). This will
facilitate reclamation at the end of the
operation.
The existing access road was constructed with pit
run aggregate prior to our lease on the property.
We anticipated the 50' buffer strip North of the
pit will be used only by Mr. Chambers as access to
his farmland to the North and West of our mining
operation. However, if we do use the area (it will
most certainly not be mined) any topsoil encountered
will be stockpiled and planted.
3. It appears that the existing access road is
to be used for the entire mining period.
What then is the purpose of the "leased access"
corridor? Is this to be disturbed? Are one
or both of these access corridors included
in the affected acreage?
At this time there is no plan to disturb the
"Leased Access" area. Neither of the areas
indicated to be access are included in the
affected acreage.
4. Is the 100' buffer between the mining operation
and the Colorado River to be totally undisturbed?
The 100' belt between the mine and the Colorado
River will be virtually undisturbed.
L/ "' `CONST PUCTION, INC.
