'type and Area
01` Exposure Max Permissible F;xposure Limits
Insoluble 520 MPC-hours in any calendar
uranium ore & quarter.
leach
operations
Soluble 40 MPC-hours in any work week.
uranium
Solvent
Extraction
Circuit
2.2 Radon Daughters
A log will be maintained of the time that an
individual spends in each of the three major
job function areas (ore pads, leach tanks and
SX circuit). The average concentration measured
in a given area will then be multiplied by the
time spent in that area during the pertinent
exposure period. The result (Working Level -
Hours) will be compared to a limit of 4.0
Working Level months (692-WL-hrs) per year.
2.3 Insoluble Uranium and Radon Daughters
In the event that an individual is exposed to
significant concentrations of both insoluble
uranium and radon progeny simultaneously, the
following expression will be applied to assure
that the individual does not become over-
exposed:
Eu/MPEu + Er/MPEr < 1.00
19
