Exhibit D (continued - page #2)
Surface mining will occur in two ways. For roadbase
production we will use 5 yard front-end loaders to excavate along
a vertical face and to transport the material to the crushing and
screening plant. This processed material will be stockpiled by
conveyor in the permitted area for future use.
The second mining method will be for "pit-run" materials.
This sand and gravel will be loaded onto trucks and transported
off-site to construction projects in the county road system as
needed. In all cases, during periods of inactivity, the vertical
mining face will be sloped-back for safety reasons.
There will be no acid-forming or toxic producing materials
to address. There will be no washing or chemical processing
plants on the site. The operation will not impact the hydrologic
balance or create off-site damage. The disturbed areas will be
re-vegetated according to the reclamation plan for future use of
rangeland.
Exhibit D Page #2
