Profile No. 6CW <br />Classification: <br />Series :RAZOR <br />Phase :Deep <br />Location: NE,NE,NE,NE Sec. 23, Township 135, Range 91W <br />This is a deep, well drained (Class 4) clay loam soil which occurs <br />on thin basalt colluvium over sandstone or shale on a slope of 28 <br />percent at an elevation of 7320 ft and an aspect of 271 degrees. The <br />soil is formed from basalt, has 2-lOX outcrops (rockiness class 1), and <br />3-15X coverage of basalt boulders (stoniness class 3). The soils <br />permeability is moderate (permeability class 3) with moderate runoff <br />(runoff class 4) and no groundwater. Mater has caused slight erosion <br />(water erosion class 1) on the soil. The climate is semi-arid. The <br />dominant vegetation is Gambel oak, serviceberry and adapted grasses. <br />A 0-10 inches. Yellowish brown (10 YR 5/4) clay loam, brown (10 <br />YR 4/3) moist; moderate, very fine platy primary structure; <br />soft, friable, sticky and pplastic; non calcareous; non <br />alkaline (pH 6.6); non saline (EC 0.17 mmhos/cm); clear wavey <br />boundary. <br />82t 10-20 inches. Brown (10 YR 4/3) clay, yellowish brown (10 YR <br />5/4) moist; very strong. very coarse subangular blocky <br />primary structure; very hard, very firm, sticky and pplastic; <br />• non calcareous; non alkaline (pH 6.5); non saline (EC 0.17 <br />mmhos/cm); gradual smooth boundary. <br />20-34 inches. Dark yellowish brown (30 YR 4/6) loamy clay. <br />yellowish brown (10 YR 5/4) moist; strong medium subangu]ar <br />blocky primary structure; firm, friable, sticky and very <br />plastic; slightly calcareous; slightly alkaline (pH 7.6); non <br />saline (EC 0.33 mmhos/cm); gradual smooth boundary. <br />34-60+ inches.
