Profile No. 7CW <br />Classification: <br />~~ Series :DELSON <br />Phase :Very Deep <br />Location: NW,SE,NE,NW Sec.23, Township 135, Range 91M <br />This is a very deep, moderately well drained (Class 3) loamy soil <br />which occurs on basalt colluvium in slumps and slides on a slope of 21 <br />percent at an elevation of 7400 ft and an aspect of 56 degrees. The soil <br />is formed from basalt, has no outcrops (rockiness class 0), and less <br />than 3X coverage of basalt boulders (stoniness class 2). The soils <br />permeability is moderate (permeability class 4) with moderate runoff <br />runoff class 3) and no groundwater. Water has caused slight erosion <br />water erosion class 1) on the soil. The climate is semi-arid. The <br />dominant vegetation is Gambel oak. serviceberry and adapted grasses. <br />A 0-10 inches. Dark gray brown (10 YR 4/2) loam, dark grayish <br /> brown (10 YR 3/2) moist; weak very fine granular primary <br /> structure; soft, loose non sticky and non plastic; non <br /> calcareous; non alkaline; non saline; clear wavy boundary. <br />B1 10-28 inches. Very dark grayish brown (10 YR 3/2) clay loam, <br /> very dark grayish brown (10 YR 3/2) moist; strong medium <br /> subangular blocky primary structure; slightly hard, friable, <br /> slightly sticky and slightly plastic;non calcareous; non <br /> <br />• alkaline; non saline; gradual smooth boundary. <br />B2 28-42 inches. Very dark grayish brown (10 YR 4/3) clay loam, <br /> dark yellowish brown (10 YR 2/2) moist; moderate medium <br /> subangular blocky primary structure; slightly hard, friable, <br /> sticky and plastic; non calcareous; non alkaline; non saline. <br />C 42-60+ inches.
