Profile No. 5CW <br />• Classification: <br />Series :DELSON <br />Phase :Deep <br />Location: NW,SE,SE,NW Sec.23, Township 135, Range 91W <br />This is a deep, moderately well drained (Class 3) loamy soil which <br />occurs on basalt colluvium in slumps and slides on a slope of 14 percent <br />at an elevation of 7190 ft and an aspect of 110 degrees. The soil is <br />formed from basalt, has no outcrops (rockiness class 0), and less than <br />3X coverage of basalt boulders (stoniness class 2). The soils <br />permeability is moderate (permeability class 4) with moderate runoff <br />(runoff class 3) and no groundwater. Water has caused slight erosion <br />(water erosion class 1) on the soil. The climate is semi-arid. The <br />dominant vegetation is Gambel oak, serviceberry and adapted grasses. <br />0-7 inches. Dark brown (10 YR 4/3) loam, dark grayish brown <br />(10 YR 4/2) moist; weak very fine granular subangular blocky <br />primary structure; soft, very friable, non sticky and <br />slightly plastic; non calcareous; non alkaline; non saline; <br />clear wavey boundary. <br />8 7-22 inches. Dark brown (10 YR 3/3) clay loam very dark <br />grayish brown (10 YR 3/2) moist; strong coarse subangular <br />blocky primary structure; hard, friable, sticky and slightly <br />plastic; non calcareous; non alkaline; non saline; gradual <br />smooth boundary. <br />22-60+ inches. Dark yellowish brown (10 YR 4/2) clay loam, <br />black (10 YR 3/2) moist; moderate medium subangular blocky <br />primary structure; slightly hard, friable, sticky and <br />plastic; non calcareous; non alkaline; non saline. <br /> <br />13 <br />
