Profile No. 2CW <br />Classification: <br />Series :DELSON <br />Phase :Moderately Deep <br />Location: NW,NW,SW,NE Sec.23, Township 135, Range 91W <br />This is a moderately deep, well drained (Class 4) loamy soil which <br />occurs on basalt colluvium talus a slope of 80 percent at an elevation <br />of 7100 ft and an aspect of 270 degrees. The soil is formed from basalt, <br />has no outcrops (rockiness class 0), and 3-15X coverage of basalt <br />boulders (stoniness class 3). The soils permeability is moderate <br />(permeability class 4) with rapid runoff (runoff class 4) and no <br />groundwater. Water has caused slight erosion (water erosion class 1) on <br />the soil. The climate is semi-arid. The dominant vegetation is Gambel <br />oak, serviceberry and adapted grasses. <br />AO 0-3 inches. Dark gray brown (10 YR 4/2) loam, very dark gray <br /> (10 YR 3/1) moist; weak very fine granular primary structure; <br /> loose, loose slightly sticky and non plastic; non calcareous; <br /> non alkaline; non saline; gradual smooth boundary. <br />A 3-8 inches. Dark gray brown (10 YR 4/2) clay loam, very dark <br /> grayish brown (30 YR 3/1) moist; weak fine subangular blocky <br /> primary structure; slightly hard, friable, slightly sticky <br /> and slightly plastic; non calcareous; non alkaline; non <br />• saline; gradual smooth boundary. <br />B2t 8-23 inches. Dark brown (10 YR 3/3) clay loam, dark brown (10 <br /> YR 3/3) moist; strong medium subangular blocky primary <br /> structure; slightly hard, friable, non sticky and plastic; <br /> non calcareous; non alkaline; non saline; gradual smooth <br /> boundary. <br />B 23-35 inches. Brown (10 YR 4/3) loamy clay. dark brown (10 YR <br /> 3/3) moist; strong medium subangular blocky primary <br /> structure; slightly hard, friable, sticky and plastic; non <br /> calcareous; non alkaline; non saline; abrupt wavey boundary. <br />R 35+ inches.
