Taylor seconded the Motion. <br />Friendly Amendments: <br />Commissioner Jean Garren asked about the size of the proposed shrubs. Ms Hoj stated that the <br />standard is shrubs in a 5 gallon container. <br />Commissioner Garren would like to add that trees along CR 33A shall not be removed except as <br />necessary for traffic safety. <br />Commissioner Garren would like to add a condition, "The reclamation plans shall include a few <br />small wetland areas and other wildlife mitigation measures." <br />Commissioners Wolf and Taylor accepted these friendly amendments and incorporated them into <br />their Motion for approval. <br />Discussion: <br />There was a discussion about the length of the time the crusher will be operated. Ms Fox stated <br />that the petitioner has requested a period of six weeks. <br />Commissioner Wolf amended Condition 8 to read as stated above. He directed Planning Staff>,o <br />work with the Petitioner to determine a more specific period of time prior to the Board of County <br />Commissioner's hearing. Crusher shall only be operated a maximum of 50 days per year. <br />Commissioner Holly suggested that the petitioner telephone Planning Staff to notify them when <br />the crusher will be in operation. <br />There was a discussion about water testing. Commissioner Wolf added to the water testing <br />condition, "if permitted by the Anderson well owner.' <br />There was a discussion about what would occur if the test shcws depletion. Commissioner Wolf <br />added to the condition: "The results of the well testing shall be reported to Planning Staff quarterly <br />and shall be a part of the annual SUP review." <br />Commissioner Mitsch Bush stated that the result of the noise monitoring should also be reported <br />to Planning Staff quarterly and be part of the annual SUP review. Commissioner Wolf agreed and <br />incorporated this into his Motion for approval. <br />Ms Hoj referred to Specific Condition #4 and suggested that the words, "equitable basis' since the <br />petitioner has agreed to do this. Commissioners Wolf and Taylor accepted this suggestion and <br />incorporated it into their Motion for approval as shown above. <br />There was a discussion about the gas pipe line. Mr. Crofts suggested that a letter could be <br />submitted by Public Service. Commissioner Wolf added to Condition 12: "A letter from Public <br />Service shall be submitted prior to the Board of County Commissioners hearing." Commissioner <br />Taylor accepted this addition. <br />Vote: Yes - 5, with the Chair voting Yes. <br />10 <br />
