Any straw hay mulch used on the Forest must <br />be certified as weed Gee. <br />11. Mud pits will be filled in at the completion of use, and after becoming dry. <br />Pumping may be necessary. The mud pits will be reclaimed with the rest of the site. If <br />the mud pits are not dry and cannot be filled in the same field season of construction, an <br />8-foot fence will be erected around all pits to prevent elk, deer, cows or people Gom <br />falling in. Netting will be applied to completely cover the pits to prevent migratory birds <br />from landing in the pits. <br />12. Water drawn from stock ponds will not be drawn below a 2 foot depth to protect <br />tiger salamander larvae. Any water withdrawn from stock ponds will be replenished the <br />same season it is used. At no time should the ponds be dry. <br />13. MCC will be responsible for controlling and eradicating noxious weed infestations <br />on the drill sites and access roads until release ofthe Colorado State held reclamation <br />bond. <br />14. MCC will be required to monitor methane gas emissions from the GVB including <br />total gas emitted and methane concentration, and report these findings to the Forest <br />Service. <br />15. Off-road vehicle travel is prohibited. <br />16. Hazassment of livestock and wildlife is prohibited. <br />17. Locations of staging areas must be approved by the Forest Service prior to use. <br />18. In order to preserve public safety in vicinity of the gob ventilation boreholes during <br />venting, the surface equipment will be contained within a fenced area. The fencing <br />should be at least 6 feet high. MCC will be responsible for providing appropriate <br />warning signs for danger of explosion, no smoking, etc. <br />19. MCC is responsible for appropriate traffic control devices if any heavy equipment <br />has to be moved on Forest Road 71 1 or 711.2B Gom the Wednesday prior to the first rifle <br />hunting season for two weeks (Oct. 24) to prevent conflict with hunters.
