2.7 (JOIE) TORP,IORTHENT-ROC!C OUTCROP COi9PLEX, 12 TO 25 PERCENT SLOPS <br />This map unit is a steep complex on uplands and valley sideslopes. Slopes are <br />12 to 25 percent. It is mapped in the pit 5 and pit 7 areas. The soils are loamy- <br />skeletal Typic Torriorthents, Loamy-skeletal Lithic Torriorthents, and fine-loamy <br />Typic Torriorthents. Typic Torriorthents make up about 40q of this complex and <br />occupy small fans, toeslopes, swales. Lithic Torriorthents comprise 304 of the map <br />unit and occupy sandstone ledges and areas of weathered shale. Rock outcrop make up <br />about 20 percent of this complex and occupies vertical ledges, ridgetops, knobs and <br />steeper sideslopes. Included with this complex are a few small areas of Rock River <br />and Yamac Soils. <br />2.8 (lO1F) TORRIORTHE`7TS-ROCK OUTCROP COMPLEX, 25 TO 65 PERCEPJT SLOPES <br />This map unit is a very steep complex on terrace and escarpment faces and valley <br />sideslopes at elevations of 6,100 to 8,500 feet. The unit is mapped in the mine <br />facilities area, in the disposal area, and in pit o and pit 7 areas. The <br />Torriorthents are loamy-skeletal Typic Torriorthents, loamy-skeletal Lithic <br />Torriorthents, and fine-loamy Typic iorriarthents. The Torriorthents make up about <br />504 of this complex and occupy small colluvial fans, toeslopes, and areas of <br />weathered shale. The Rock Outcrop part makes up about 40~ of this complex and <br />occupies vertical ledges, ridgetops and steeper sideslopes. Included with this <br />complex in mapping are a few small areas of Rock River and Yamac soils in toeslope <br />positions which make up the other 10a. <br />2.9 (A;J) ALLU`/ILL LAPIDS - aET <br />This map unit consists of deep poorly drained soils farmed in alluvium on low <br />terraces and flood plains. These soils occur in concave slopes on the flood plain <br />of the Williams Fork River. The soils are variable but include Cumulic Haploquolls. <br />Inclusions make up about 104 of the map unit. Included are areas of Homelake soils <br />and sandy-skeletal Typic Torriorthents. <br />- 5 (REVISED) - <br />
