© 2.0 SOIL MAP LEGEND <br />2.1 (038) HAVRE FINE SANDY LOAh1, 0 TO 3 PERCENT SLOPES <br />Map unit 038 consists of deep, well drained soils formed or stratified alluvium <br />derived from sandstone and shale. Havre soils occur on the flood plain of the <br />Williams Fork River and have slopes of 0 to 5 percent. Havre Series occurs near the <br />Homelake Series and the Absher Series. <br />Included in the map unit are areas of Homelake series, wet areas, and Cumulic <br />Haploborolls, all in areas less than 3 acres in extent. Inclusions make up about <br />10 percent. <br />2.2 (5C) ABSHER FINE SANDY LOAM, 3 TO 6 PERCENT SLOPES <br />Map unit 5C consists of deep, v+el l to moderately wel 1 drained soi 1 s that formed i n <br />alluvium. In the report area these scils occur on low fans with slopes of 3 to 6 <br />percent.. Their occurrence is limited to a small area south of the mine offices <br />adjacent to the flood plain of the Williams Fork River. <br />Inclusions make up less than 10 percent of the map unit. Included are wet areas <br />less than 3 acres in size. Also included are areas of Havre series and Homelake <br />series. <br />2.3 (7C) EVANSTON LOAM, 3 TO 12 PERCEPIT SLOPES <br />Map unit 7C occurs on gently sloping to steep uplands. The Evanston Series consists <br />of deep well drained soils formed in mixed alluvium and loess. Slopes are 3 to 12 <br />percent. The Evanston Soil occurs in the permit area in the disposal area and the <br />pit 6 and pit 7 area. <br />l <br />- 3 - <br />
