2.05.3
Pump House
A pre-engineered metal building designed to house the pump station which
supplies water to the mine operation. The pump house is located along the
Deer Trail Ditch. The building is approximately 18' X 12' with a 8-foot eave
height.
Coal Storage Piles
Coal is stored in one of two open stockpiles at the D-Seam portal level. The
coal storage piles are; 1) run-of-mine and 2) stoker coal. Up to 100,000 tons
will be stored in the piles at any one time. A stacking tube is used to transfer
the coal into the run-of-mine coal stockpile in order to minimize segregation
and air particulate emissions. A radial stacker is utilized to stockpile the
stoker coal.
At the B-Seam portal bench, a radial stacker will be utilized to stockpile the
run-of-mine coal. Up to 5,000 tons of coal will be stored at the B-Seam coal
stockpile.
The downhill conveyorwill eliminate the need forthe crushed coal pile atthe
D-Seam portal bench. The downhill conveyor will transport crushed coal to
the coal storage pile located along old State Highway 133. Up to 350,000
tons of coal will be stored in the new highway stockpile.
Downhill Conveyor Transfer Building
The downhill conveyor transfer building is a structural steel building where
the transfer belt from the crushing and screening building terminates. The
coal transfers to the downhill corveyor. The dimensions of the building are
approximately 16 feet by 16 feet by 25 feet high.
Stackino Tubes
The 2"XO" coal is stacked at the highway stockpile by two concrete tubes to
minimize coal segregation and air particulate emissions. One tube is
approximately 100-feet high and the other is 120-feet high. Both are 12-feet
in diameter and are equipped with 4-foot square openings to allow coal to
flow from the tube to the stockpile area. One of the stacking tubes is located
• directly on the reclaim tunnel.
PR-07 2.05 - 14 - 2/03
A ~PROUED
5 /,i/~3
