2.05.3 Power Line A high voltage overhead powerline extends from the existing Delta Montrose Electric Power line to the portal area substation. The power line is approximately 5,600 feet long. Approximately 750 feet of new power line will be constructed for the downhill conveyor. About 500 feet will be constructed at the portal bench and 250 feet at the highway stockpile area. The B-Seam portal bench will require another 200 feet of powerline. Non-Coal Waste Storaae Non-coal waste will be stored at the portal levels. Three concrete walls will be constructed to form the storage area. The walls will form a u-shape. The storage area will be approximately 20-feet wide, 30-feet deep and the walls will be 6-feet high. Commercially available dumpsters may be used in lieu of the concrete structures. Non-coal waste will also be stored in dumpsters • located in areas defined in 2.05.3(8). Temporary Gob Piles Gob will be periodically transported from the underground workings with the mine conveyor. At the portal transfer tower, gob is transferred to the gob conveyor. The gob is stacked in a temporary gob pile which is located near the transfer tower on the D-Seam and B-Seam portal benches. The gob is then rehandled by front-end loader and trucks and transported to the permanent gob disposal area. Certain conditions such as inclement weather or severe winter conditions may preclude access to the permanent gob pile for extended periods of time. Therefore, gob may be stored in the temporary gob piles for up to 30 days. Up to 1500 tons may be stored in the temporary gob piles at one time. Rock Dust Storage Areas The D-Seam portal bench and the B-Seam portal bench will have a steel rock dust silo approximately 50 feet high and 8 feet in diameter.
