<br />' IMPACTED AREA <br />' The parcel in which the proposed riprap quarry lies is <br />approximately 34.2 acres. Actual mining operations will <br />impact approximately 7 acres. For the purposes of the <br />' permit application, the affected land is defined as the <br />34.2 acre parcel. <br />VEGETATION <br />The vegetation of the hogback slopes is comprised primarily <br />' of bunchgrasses and scattered shrubs (Figures C-6 and C-7). <br />Dominant grasses include Bluebunch Wheatgrass and Indian <br />Ricegrass. Other grasses present include Thickspike Wheatgrass, <br />' Blue Grama, Sandberg Bluegrass, and Letterman Needlegrass. <br />Major shrubs present are Vasey Big Sagebrush, Low Rabbitbrush, <br />and Antelope Bitterbrush. Other shrubs present include <br />' Saskatoon Serviceberry, Rubber Rabbitbrush, and Squawcurrant. <br />Subshrubs present include Fringed Sage and Sulphurflower.
