1
' S~
' EXHIBIT C - PRE-MINING AND MINING PLAN MAPS
' IMMEDIATELY ADJACENT SURFACE OWNERS OF RECORD
The riprap quarry area is owned by the Municipal Subdistrict,
Northern Colorado Water Conservancy District. The riprap
' quarry area is bounded on the west, south and east by lands
owned by the Northern Colorado water Conservancy District.
The east-west road immediately north of the quarry area is
a public road owned by Grand County. There are no power
' lines, structures, or oil and gas wells located within 200
feet of the riprap quarry area.

WATER RESOURCES
A small unnamed stream flows immediately to the west of
' the riprap quarry area. This small stream is a tributary
to Willow Creek. No other water resources are adjacent to
the riprap quarry. quarrying activities are not expected to
' have any impact on the stream. No direct drainage from the
mined area will be allowed in the direction of the stream.
'
TOPOGRAPHY
Figure C-1 (envelope) shows the existing topography of the
' riprap quarry area. The quarry area is located on a massive
basalt formation which is a ridge rising approximately 250
feet above the surrounding plain. The ridge runs in a north-
south direction. The natural topography of the ridge has been
previously disturbed by previous use as a riprap quarry area.
This occurred on the northerly slope of the ridge and is shown
' on Figure C-1.
Figure C-2, "Mining Plan Map", shows the topography and
profiles of the quarry area on completion of mining operations.
' Mining will be initiated on the southerly face of previous
mining activities and proceed in a southerly direction.
' The previous borrow activities were conducted during the
1950's and involved mining of riprap material for construction
of the Willow Creek Dam and Reservoir. These activities were
' conducted prior to enactment of the Mined Land Reclamation Act.
Figures C-3, C-4, and C-5 document the general impact of
previous mining operations.
Figure C-3 is a view towards the northeast across the previously
mined area. Figure C-4 is towards the east from the approximate
same location, and shows the midsection of the mined area.
' Figure C-5 is a view towards the south showing the north
facing slope of the~previousTy mined area. 1
~ ---- --
C-1
