LLC
The permit area is a small part of the Granby Ranch Development, a 5,000-acre,
approved mixed-use development annexed into the Town of Granby. After the mining
has reached the proposed final grade, the site will be developed as a residential area.
Evidence of residential infrastructure improvements shall be sufficient for purposes of
final bond release. tf development is delayed however, the site shall alternatively be
reclaimed as described herein for purposes of bond release.
Seedbed Preparation and Seeding
6"-12" of topsoil material will be placed over the final graded area. This placement will
occur as soon as portions of the property achieve final grade and are at least 5 acres in
size. The topsoil material will be comprised of salvaged topsoil, overburden, and
mine/process waste (i.e. silts, clays, crusher fines). Any deficit in the quantity of these
materials available for reclamation will be enhanced with suitable, imported topsoil
material. Salvaged topsoil stockpiles will be planted with the seed mix presented in
Table E-1.
Prepared seeding areas will be tested for their ability to support plant growth and
fertilizer, mulch, etc. will be added as indicated by the test results. Drill seeding is
appropriate due to the shallow slopes indicated in the final grade.
Seed Mix R~i.a~I V ~®
The following seed mix is proposed: ~~T 2 0 ZQ~6
Division of Reclamation,
Table E-1: Permanent Seed Mix Mining and Safety

Species
Variety PLS

(Ibs/acre) Percent of

Mix (%)
Smooth Brome Manchar 16 50
Sheep fescue Covar 8 25
Pubescent wheatgrass Luna 6.5 20
Wild flower Blue flax 2 5
Granby Realty Holdings, LLC September 25, 2006
Overlook Mine Page 9
