May 17, 1984 - Response Letter
• In this letter, Lively responded to CWI's request for proposal. This letter
contained several exhibits, 1 through 4, that described each of the budget-
ary costs.
Exhibit #1 - Long Conveyor - This proposal reflects Lively's estimated cost
for the conveyor from the mine site 8,135 feet to a transfer point. This is
the upper part of the total overland conveyor from the mine site to the
silos. This cost estimate did not include any earthwork calculation, but
only included the required yardages furnished by CWI.
Exhibit #2 - Short Conveyor, Low Profile - The truck dump cost was esti-
mated, but did not include the facilities to simultaneously unload both
• units of a tandem-haulage unit or enclosure of the transfer point itself.
The culvert under the Farmer's Mine Road and Fire Mountai n Canal was esti-
mated to be continuous from the Partner's Mine Road to the canal road.
Earthwork quantities were included, but associated costs were excluded.
Exhibit #3 - Short Conveyor, High Profile - This cost estimate is the same
as Exhibit #2 except that at the crossings of Farmer's Mine Road, Fire Moun-
tain Canal, and Highway 133, overhead structure was estimated. Again, the
same separation for the long conveyor cost was included.
Exhibit #4 included materials and services to be provided by CWI.
June 12, 1984 Response Letter - Based on CWI's additional request, Lively
• provided this letter that clarified and expanded on the May 17, 1984,
proposal.
