~~
? 7-1 SI
' larger .until at the completion of all mining the entire area will be
reclaimed as a fishing lake and water fowl habitat as indicated on the
Reclamation Plan Map Ex. F.
' Phase 1 - The 29 acres designated as Phase 1 on the Extraction Plan
Map is presently the area of major activity including mining, washing
' and stockpiling. This area will be exhausted in a few years and mining
will proceed to Phase II. Plant operations will continue in the Phase I
area.
' Phase II - Mining of the 44 acres in Phase II will commence in the
southeast corner and advance northward then westward across the area
ending in the western-most portion of the area. Total extraction is
' estimated to take approximately seven years.
Phase III - The 21 acres in Phase III will be mined commencing on
t the western boundary and will proceed eastward to completion in approximately
a three to four year period.
Approximately 12 acres devoted to plant site and stockpiles will
' remain a major disturbance throughout the life of the operation.
Presently about 27 acres exist in a state of moderate disturbance. This
' area will progressively decrease as mining converts these areas to ponds
with reclaimed shorelines. Land surface being prepared for revegetation
' and recently reseeded will represent roughly ten acres of minor disturbance
' at any one time.
1
