Additional Reauirsnatts far Stormwater Discharne Associated with Other Industrial Activities <br />This permit may only authorize a etormwater discharge associated with another regulated industrial activity located at <br />e mine site that is mixed with a stormwater discharge from a mine site where: <br />a. the atormwater discharge from the mine site is in compliance with the terms of this permit; and <br />b. sWrmwater discharges associated with the other regulated industrial activity (including dedicated asphalt and <br />dedicated concrete plants) are authorized by and in cotttpliance with the terms of a different CDPS permit <br />authoring such discharges. <br />I1. Additional Submittal Utton Renuest <br />Upon request, the permittee shall submit the SWMP b the Division, the Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology and <br />EPA, end any local agency approving sedim®t end erosion plans or stormwater management plans within the time frames <br />specified in the request. <br />12. Retention of RecorYls <br />The permittee shall retain s copy of the SWMP required by this permit at We mining site for the duration of this permit. <br />The permittee shall retain copies of all reports required by this permit and records of all data used to compete the <br />application W be certified order this permit, for a period of at least three years. <br />•E. ADDITIONAL DEFINITIONS <br />1. Best management practices (BMPs): schedules of activities, prohibitions of practices, maintenance procedures, and <br />other mmagemeat practices to prevwt or reduce the pollution of waters of the State. BMPs also include treatment, <br />operating procedures, and practices to control site runoff, spillage or leaks, waste disposal, or drainage from material <br />storage. BMPs include structural and nonstructural controls. <br />2. Operator: the individual who has day to day supervision and control of activities occurring at the mine site. <br />3. Significant Materials include but are not limited to: raw materials; fuels; materials such as metallic products; hazardous <br />substances designated under section 101(14) of CERCLA; fertilizers; pesticides; and waste products such as ashes, slag <br />and sludge that have the potential to be released with stormwater discharge. <br />4. Stormwata: precipitation-induced surface rmoff. The defmitioo of stormwater excludes infiltration. <br />PART II <br />A. MANAGEMENT REQUIIZEMENTS <br />Chance in Discharce <br />The permittee shall inform the Division (Permits and Enforcement Section) in writing of any intent to construct, install, <br />or alter any process, facility, or activity that is likely to result in a new or altered discharge, and shall furnish the <br />Division such pleas and specifications whim the Division dcems reasonably necessary to evaluate the effect on the <br />. discharge and receiving sttram. The SWMP shall be updated and a copy of the changes submitted to the Division within <br />60 days of the changes. <br />The permittae shall submit this notice to the Division within two weeks after malong a dPl~~~ntioo to perform the type <br />of activity referred to in the proceding paragraph. <br />
