C~
•
Claystones and clays make up the remaining 10 to 15 percent of
the overburden in the drill cores. This material occurs in thin
beds and is occasionally laminated. The clay will readily dis-
integrate when exposed to weathering. Its physical properties
include an approximate weight of 2,800 pounds per bank cubic
yard and a swell factor of 33 percent.
Chemical analysis with accompaning lithologic logs will be sup-
plied and may be found in the "confidential" book under separate
cover. This information has been nominated as sensitive to the
project and, therefore, not available for public viewing.
