<br />WILDLIFI; INF'CRMATICN <br />Wildlife in the general area of the gravel pit ~ippearr, to be cottontail rabbits, <br />jack rabbits, coyotes, ground squirrels and a variety of small birds. <br />The affected area is presently providing a minimal amount of food and cover <br />for wildlife and, therefore, continued operation of existing gravel pit eho~ild <br />not significantly affgct wildlife population in the general area of construction. <br />Due to the shortage of water, there does not appear to be an economically <br />feasible method to fl~rth~~r enhance wildlife habitat beyond revegetating the <br />area after mining opere.tiona are completed. <br />The Colorado Division of Wildlife should be consulted if detailed information <br />on wildlife ie needed for the affected area. <br /> <br /> <br />~'~ page 3 of 6 <br />
