SOILS INFORMATION <br />The soils in the affected area are Caecajo soils anti G1~avelly land (5 to 25 <br />percent slopes (Ca~. A. complete and detailed description of these voile is <br />found in the So11 Survey of Crowley County, Colorado on pages 8-9 and 39• <br />In the soil survey handbook, this site is located on field sheet #21. <br />In general, these soils are gravelly, take water rapidly and are low in water <br />holding capacity. The eurfaoe layer, about 5 inches thick, ranges from <br />gravelly loam to very gravelly sandy loam. Below the surface layer is~pale <br />brown, limy, gravelly loamy sand. The lower surface of the gravel ie coated <br />with lime. The elope ra.ngee from 5 to 25 percent, but moat of the acreage <br />has a elope of more than. 10 percent.
