2.06,8(3)(c) <br />• (c) Based on the investigations conducted under. 2.06.8(3)(b), <br />the Division shall make a determination of the presence or <br />absence of alluvial valley floors, the extent of any alluvial <br />valley floors within the study area and whether any stream <br />in the study area may be excluded from further consideration <br />as lying within an alluvial valley floor. The Division shall <br />determine that an alluvial valley floor exists if it finds that: <br />(i) Lnconsolidated stream=laid deposits holding streams are <br />present; ~ <br />The majority of the deposits are a result of upland mass movement <br />(glacial). <br />(ii) There is sufficient water to support agricultural activities <br />as evidenced by: <br />• (n) The existence of flood irrigation in the area in question <br />or its historical use. <br />There has not been any flood irrigation within or adjacent to the <br />permit area. The area has not historically been used for agricultural <br />activities. Refer to the Prime Farmland Investigation, Section 2.03.12. <br />(B) The capability of an area to be flood irrigated, based on <br />stream-flow water yield, soils, water quality, topography and <br />regional practices. <br />The majority of the permit area is not capable to be flood irrigated. <br />(C) Sub irrigation of the lands in question, derived f.ron the ground <br />water system of the valley floor. <br />The land within the permit area is nbt ~ubirrigated. <br />• <br />I2CVIS~D N,ay B, 1981 164 <br />
