M8M I°1IPlIh1G CU Exhibit C - Mining Plan Hjr ~5,_+1 l~:ui~~ PJo.Uul P.O-I Mining will dune during the operating months, as weather permits, between May 15, 1991 through April, 1994. The affected area during mining will be 7.3 acres. The total pit area will be approx. 250' x 450' x 50' max depth. The first area mined will be approx. 150' x 39D' x 5D' max depth; please see Mining Map. This first. phase is located in the exist9ny depression from previous placer operations. The waste material, that which will not be sold as aggregate, from this phase will be placod in two existing intermediate bench areas as noted on thr_ map. These benches are open areas that do not conform to the adjacent bank contour. All excavated material will be classified and stock piled for sale as aggregate as per the Mining Lease requires. The stock piles will he located in the sane area as the existing aggregate stock piles, please refer t0 map. TYiese stock piles are not expected to reach large quantities as sale of aggregate will occur concurrently with mining operations, The second area of excavatron is approx. 105' x 450' x 50' max, depth. This phase of the pit is located under the existing ridge of waste placer material. The existing waste material will be back filled into phase one after it's completion. When phase two is cpmpleted, it will be backfilled, sloped, and rounded to the proper slope. As this has Keen e historically mined area, no additional roads will need to he construcred. A11 aces roads are in existance. Also, because all the ]and tri.Lhin the proposed permit boundaries has been mined or disturbed, there is no soil or plant growth on the property. This Land is a rock pile. A settling pond area of 150' x 120' x 15' depth will be constructed to settle ~.he water used from the operation. This settled ~.ater will be pumped Into a recirculation pond area of 120' x 3~' x 1D' depth Lo be recirculated for plant use. All gold extraction will be by means of sorting and washing the gravel. No loathing or chemicals will occur on the property. All water used in the ~ncration will 6e supplied, as per noted in Lhe mining lease, by the 4cfs of ;Platte City Mining Ditch. No water will be released off property. No n off is expected due to the high permeability of the gravel. No disturbance to the hydrolic balance will occur. No ground water will be encountered. All applicable State water lows and regulatinr will be complied with.
