- 6 - <br />• snowmelt. The ground surface in the pond area slopes moderately down <br /> to the drainage from the north and south. The embanlanent location is <br />fairly flat and slopes gently down to the east. <br />Pond K: Pond K is to be located near the upper reac3~es of a drainage <br />tributary to the Canadian River in the NE 1/4, Sec. 22, T. 9 N., <br />R, 78 W. The ground surface in the area is gently rolling aid slopes <br />gently down to the northeast. The drainage at this location is broad <br />with gentle side slopes. <br />Pond L: Pond L is located on a tributary drainage of the Canadian <br />River in the NE 1/4, Sec. 15, T. 9 N., R. 78 W. The"proposed <br />embanlanent is to be located directly west of an existing embankment <br />approximately 6 feet in height. The dawn has breaci~ed near its central <br />portion. The cause of the breads is unknown. The ground surface at <br />• the site slopes gently to noderately down to the east. The drainage <br />and existing pond were dry at the time of our investigation. <br />Sandstone bedrock was observed exposed in the spillway excavation, on <br />the right abutment of the existing enbacilanent and in a borrow area <br />near the left abutment. <br />Pond M: The pond site is to be located in the NW 1/4, Sec. 15, <br />T. 9 N., R. 78 W., south of Sudduth Draw. The ground surface at the <br />site is fairly flat and slopes gently down to the north. South of the <br />proposed pond, the gmurd surface rises steeply. Sudduth draw was <br />flowing slightly at the time of our investigation. <br />Pond N; The proposed pond is located on a low interstream divide <br />between Williams Draw to the south and Pond i to the rorth, in the <br />SW 1/4, Sec. 23, T. 9 N., R. 78 W.
