1
RECLAMATION PLAN
EXHIBIT E (cont)
' irrigation, soil amendments or fertilizers. The plan is designed
to create a vegetative cover that is at least equal in extent to
the cover of the natural vegetation prior to mining. The use of
species native to the area will be included. Since the intended
useof the reclaimed land is grazing, the land will be restored to
slopes commensurate with such uses.
Seed will be drilled wherever possible. Where drilling is
not possible, the seed will be broadcast. The revegetation plan
provides for the greatest probability of success in plant estab-
lishment and vegetative development by considering environmental
I factors such as seasonal patterns of precipitation, temperatures
and wind. Other factors, such as soil texture, fertility, slope
I stability and the direction in which slopes face, have been considered.
A weed control plan is included in the program. Access roads will
be constructed through the areas to be planted to provide access
for planting crews and for the supervision and inspection of the
reclamation plan.
' REVEGETATION PROGRAM.
I The revegetation program to be implemented by B and B Excavating,
Inc. is detailed below. It incorporates recommendation taken from
the report prepared by Mr Rick Olson of the Soil Conservation
1 Service, Eagle office. His report is located in Exhibit I/J of
this application.
TREES
They will be planted in two rows located ten feet apart and
planted on ten foot centers ( 20 between trees on any cow). The
trees will be watered for the first three years on a regular basis
and dead trees replaced each year for the first three years. This
I should insure an adequate survival rate to provide the screening
as requested by the county. In addition B&B has dedicated 20 feet
immediately adjacent to the south property line as bike/pedestrian
I path to the county. The trees will be located between this path and
16
