RECLAMATION PLAN
EXHIBIT E (cont)
I RECLAMATION PERFORMANCE STANDARDS.
I The operator intends to mine the property in compliance with
the Reclamation Performance Standards of Rule 6. Grading will be
performed to create a final topography that is compatible with the
intended final land use. There will be little, if any, fill area
because the cuts on the south, east and west sides are to be
I excavated at the final slope of 2h to lv; the remainder of the
area is to be excavated to approximately ten (10) feet above the
normal flow level of the Eagle River. Each Phase will be reclaimed
so that a suitable grade for drainage exists. Any fill area that
I may exist will be compacted adequately by the heavy equipment in
use on the project.
I All grading will be done in a manner to control erosion and
to protect areas outside the affected land from slides or othec
damage. All backfillin9 and grading will be completed as soon as
' feasible after mining is completed. All refuse will be handled and
disposed of in a manner that will control unsightliness and protect
I the drainage system from pollution. There are no acid-f ormin9 or
toxic materials involved in this operation. There are no drill or
auger holes on the land. Maximum slopes will be within the limits
set forth in the Rules and Regulations of the Board and will be
I capable of being traversed by machinery.
Since this is a dry operation, the operator does not expect
prevailing hydrologic conditions to be disturbed. B&B Excavating,
1 Inc, will comply with applicable Colorado water laws and regulations
(as the operator understands them) governing injury to existing water
J rights in order to minimize any disturbance which might occur to the
prevailing hydrologic balance of the affected land and of the sur-
f rounding area and to the quality of water in surface and groundwater
systems both during and after the mining operation and during reclam-
l ation. In addition, the operator expects to comply with applicable
11 federal and Colorado water quality laws and regulations. Any water
used in the operation of the plants and gravel pit will come from
I water owned by BBB Excavating, Inc.
14
