(6 <br />• to 16 inches thick) <br />R -29" -- Hard, slightly fractured sandstone. <br />Sampling Location: Based on SCS Soil Series Description. <br />Range in Characteristics: Depth to the lithic contact ranges from 20 to <br />40 inches. The control section is typically loam and has 18 to 35 percent <br />clay. Rock fragments range from 35 to 85 percent by volume, most of which are <br />3/4 to 3 inches in length. <br />The Al and 82 horizons have hue of 7.5YR through 2.SY, value of 3 through 5 <br />dry, 2 or 3 moist and chroma of 2 or 3. <br />The 63 horizon and the C horizon, if present, have hue of 7.SYR through 2.5Y. <br />Drainage and Permeability: Well drained; moderately permeable. <br />Depth to Water Table: Greater than 60 inches. <br /> <br />Ex. 15-14 <br />
