PERMA VERY COBBLY LOAM (102) <br />Taxonomic Class: Loamy-skeletal, mixed Typic Haploborolls. <br />All 0-5" -- Dark grayish brown (lOYR 4/1) very cobbly loam, very dark <br />grayish brown (lOYR 3/4) moist; weak fine granular structure; soft, very <br />friable, nonsticky and nonplastic; 15 percent gravel, 30 percent cobbles; <br />neutral; clear smooth boundary. <br />A12 5-11" -- Dark grayish brown (lOYR 4/2) very cobbly loam, very dark <br />grayish brown (lOYR 3/2) moist; weak medium granular structure; soft, very <br />friable, nonsticky and nonplastic; 15 percent gravel, 35 percent cobble; <br />neutral; clear smooth boundary. <br />C1 11-30" -- Light yellowish brown (lOYR 6/4) extremely cobbly sandy loam, <br />yellowish brown (lOYR 5/4) moist; massive; soft, very friable, nonsticky and <br />nonplastic; 25 percent gravel, 45 percent cobble, mildly alkaline; gradual <br />wavy boundary. <br />C2 30-60" -- Light yellowish brown (lOYR 6/4) extremely cobbly loamy sand, <br />yellowish brown (lOYR 5/4) moist; single grain; loose, nonsticky and <br />nonplastic; 30 percent gravel, 45 percent cobble; mildly alkaline. <br />Sampling Location: Based on SCS Soil Series Description. <br />Range in Characteristics: Coarse fragments greater than 3 inches range from <br />20 to 40 percent. Soil reaction varies from a pH of 6.6 to 1.8. Texture class <br />is cobble loam with a depth to hardpan greater than 60 inches. <br />Drainage and Permeability: Well drained, moderately rapid permeability. <br />Depth to Water Table: Greater than 60 inches. <br />• <br />Ex. 15-15 <br />
