The Larimer County Planning Commission on October 10, <br />1979 recommended conditional approval of the proposed use. <br />On November 26, 1979, in the County. Board hearing Room <br />of the Larimer County Courthouse, Fort Collins, Colorado, the <br />Board of County Commissioners conducted a public hearing on the <br />special review. The Roard of County Commissioners having. heard <br />the testimony and evidence adduced at said hearing and having <br />considered and carefully weighed the same now makes the following <br />findings: <br />1. The special review request for a sand and gravel <br />extraction pit, a concrete batch plant and asphalt batch plant <br />upon the following described property was advertised in a local <br />newspaper of general circulation as .required by law. <br />2. The general characteristics of the property ar.e as <br />follows: <br />a. Location: Sections 11, 12 b 13-6-68; North <br />of 1-lighway 392, west of: the Larimer-S~eld County Iir,e. <br />b. Area: 240 acres. <br />c. Existing land use: Farming. <br />d. Surrounding land use: Farming. <br />e. Surrounding •r.oning: PA-1 Farming. <br />3. The i7i.ndsor Pl~cnn:ing Commission revi.eweJ the r. eguest <br />and recommended that it be conditionall}• approved. <br />
