ANALYSIS <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Springs <br />During the drilling program of 1983 a spring was located in SE/4 <br />Sec. 6, T34S, R63W (Map 20). The spring, which has been piped <br />and supplies water to a trough, issues from the Raton Formation. <br />Drill hole AM-6, which was placed up hill from the spring, <br />intercepted the water at a depth of 20-40 feet. Flow was <br />measured at approximately 2 gpm; water samples were not <br />collected. To protect the spring, upon hole abandonment, a <br />cement plug was set from 3-50 feet below the surface. <br />The spring is located outside the reserve area of the Raton Creek Mine <br />and will not be affected by any posible subsidence connected with <br />the Raton Creek Mine <br />Water Well Levels and duality <br />There have been no significant, relative changes in the levels or <br />qualities of the Iuppa or Sundance wells since they were checked <br />by Fisher, Harden and Fisher or since the start of mining. <br />In fact, the refuse well drilled at the toe of the refuse pile, <br />to monitor the mine site water, has nearly always shown lower TDS <br />values than the Iuppa well. <br />155 <br />Revisal S/93 <br />
