•
Water Well Information
Records at the State Engineer's Office show no additional water wells
within the proposed permit area. The only wells to be considered
are those described in the existing permit.
Due to the additional permit area, the Bob Sanders well located in
Section 2 of T34S, R64W has an increased possibility of being•
affected, but it is still unlikely because it is located approximately
1; miles west of the permit area. The well is not currently in use
and has been purchased by Sundance Coal Company.
• Spring and Seep Survey
A new spring and seep survey was conducted within a one mile radius
of the additional permit areas. Inaccessible areas were reached
by hiking on foot.
No new springs and seeps were located within the new area of
influence shown on Map No. 20, however, it is realized that because
the survey was conducted during January, it is possible that some
springs and seeps may fiave naturally dried up by that time. Springs
do occur to the south and east of the area of influence on the higher
elevations near Fishers Peak, but are too far from the permit area
to be affected.
Information and test results on previously identified springs and
seeps is given in the existing permit.
•
154
D.
