4-55 <br />This low limit will help reduce the potential for <br />• road kill within the mine area, particularly during <br /> the dawn and dusk high wildlife activity periods. <br />o No domestic animals (ie dogs) other than cattle <br />from existing grazing lease rights will be allowed <br />to roam uncontrolled on the mine property. <br />o Mine personnel will be restricted to areas of op- <br />erational activity except as necessary to perform <br />monitoring and maintenance work. <br />o (Use of vehicles for work activity outside of <br />designated mine operation area will be allowed only <br />with prior approval of the Environmental Engineer <br />and the BLM. <br />o Recreational vehicles will be orohibited in the <br />• permit area. / <br />o Hunting will be prohibited in the permit area ex- <br />cept as approved by the Mine Manager. <br />o Any areas identified during wildlife monitoring <br />studies as having unique or important wildlife <br />value (i.e. raptor nesting sites, fawning areas) <br />will be designated as restricted areas against all <br />activity outside of wildlife monitoring by qualified <br />staff ecologists. <br />o The Environmental Engineer and site security per- <br />sonnel will have the responsibility of enforcing re- <br />striction and regulations to minimize disturbance to <br />• wildlife resources. <br />
