•
-15- •
Ward: What's the general slope of the site?
Drell: The .existing slope? It's almost flat, it's upraised and it's
quite level.
Ward: What's the kind of topsoil depth, what are we talking about there?
Drell: Two feet approximately. The topsoil overburden is approximately
2 feet, and the gravel is approximately 8 feet, and when it will
be mined the slope will be three-to-one when they're finished.
Ward: Did you dig any of the soil, has that been done so you know a little
bit, anything about the texture or anything?
Drell: I can go through the soil concentration report and tell you what
their findings were, but (I) other than that....
Ward: What did they say about topsoil in general terms.
Drell: For what they want to do with it, they say generally that it's a .
good source of topsoil and they don't foresee any problems. They
say that it should be tested at the time of reclamation to see
what, if any, fertilizer would be needed there. Other than that
they....
Ward: So they made a general survey of it, and they didn't give (is there)
any evidence of profile and structural considerations there?
