They went through and just sampled the topsoil.
There are two types of topsoil in the area and then they have
a paragraph on each one stating=-I can just quickly summarize
that. The surface soil, and there's two
is considered (mumbled) sidilow gravelly
surface soil is a dark, reddish-grey gr
inches thick. The surface soil contains
subsoil is a yellowish-red gravelly clay
gravel and some stones. Then they go on
the three horizon substrat. Do you want
areas; the first area
loam 0-38 slopes; the
~velly loam about six
about 30$ gravel, the
loam with a 35-458
down and they mention
me to go into all that?
Ward: No. It's got a lot of gravel .in it. And obviously...
Orell: Yeah, there's quite a bit of gravel in the area already.
Ward: What about the need for irrigation and how do you see that if you
had to speculate? They have it available and (on) that soil
basis you'd think they may have a bit of a problem...
Orell: Without irrigating?
Ward: Yeah.
Orell: Okay, I was using the Soil Conservation League, or Soil Conservation
Service, Department of Agriculture recommendations, they supply
these technical notes, and they give a map of Colorado and they
show the area s, what can be seeded in those areas and they give
specifics for how it can exist with or without available moisture
