Classifier overflow products will be fed through a 30"
x 36" drum-type magnetic separator to remove any magnetic
iron particles. In addition to initially upgrading the mill
feed accomplished by the removal of the magnetic fraction,
we anticipate a market for the magnetic iron recovered. A
further benefit of this process will be to prevent the
magnetic iron from being ultimately disposed of in the
tailings disposal area.
Concentration by gravity methods will be accomplished
by two 8" x 12" duplex jigs set in series and final cleanup
and recovery, with two full-size shaker tables set in
parallel.
Mineral recovery with use of the flotation process will
be accomplished by, first, removing the magnetic fraction
then recovering salable mineral products using conventional
flotation process. Reagents used will be:
Promoters - Cresylic acid base or zanthates
Modifiers - Lime, caustic soda, soda ash, starch,
caustic soda, copper sulphate
Depressants - Lime, zinc sulphate
Normal flotation reagent consumption 3s estimated to be
less than 1/10 lb. per ton of ore treated. All reagents
will be stored in upright 55-gallon barrels in the reagent
storage room. Only one day's operating supply will be in
the reagent feeders at any one time.
