The mill buildings were designed and constructed
according to current building code requirements. Double
panel windows in the walls with southern exposure contribute
to heating with passive solar assistance.
MILL DESIGN AND CAPACITY
Our mill is of conventional design utilizing a
combination of flotation and gravity concentration. Design
of the mill is such that either oxide or sulphide ores may
be concentrated effectively.
The crude ore, delivered by trucks and stored in a
50-ton capacity coarse ore bin, will be crushed in a
two-stage operation to a final size of -1/2". This mill
feed will be transported by conveyor belts to a fine ore bin
in the mill building.
Dust control will be managed in the crushing plant by
use of an exhaust fan which will draw air down through the
crushers away from the crusher operator. The dust-laden air
will be exhausted outside the building through a
cyclone-type separator which is designed to capture the dust
particles in barrels. This system will prevent airborne
dust from being discharged into the atmosphere.
The grinding of the ore to -65 +200 mesh will be
accomplished by wet grinding in a 5' x 4' ball mill.
Particle sizing will be accomplished with a double pitch 30"
x 15' screw-type classifier.
